We assists clients in realizing their dream of becoming a U.S. citizen, unlocking the full rights and privileges of citizenship, including the right to vote

U.S. Citizenship can be obtained through two primary avenues. The first is by birth, where individuals born within the United States are automatically granted citizenship. Additionally, individuals born outside the U.S. can become citizens if they are born to at least one U.S. citizen, provided certain conditions are met. The second way to obtain U.S. citizenship is through the naturalization process, which enables non-U.S. citizens to acquire citizenship. To qualify for naturalization, individuals must meet specific requirements established by U.S. law.

Requirements for Naturalization:

Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Residency Requirement: Applicants must have continuously and physically resided in the U.S. as a green card holder for a minimum of 5 years (or 3 years if married to and living with a U.S. citizen).

Good Moral Character: Applicants must demonstrate good moral character, as  determined by U.S. immigration authorities.

English Proficiency: Applicants must be proficient in basic spoken and written English.

Knowledge of U.S. History and Government: Applicants must demonstrate  knowledge of U.S. history and government.

The naturalization process is designed to ensure that individuals who become U.S. citizens have a strong commitment to the United States and meet the necessary criteria to fully participate in American society. Our experienced team at WHK Law Firm is well-versed in the naturalization process and can provide the guidance and support you need to navigate this important journey towards U.S. citizenship.
